Social Security Fairness Act- great news for public employees!
On January 5th President Biden signed HR 82, the Social Security Fairness Act.
HR 82 repeals two laws that previously denied earned benefits to public employees and our families.
With HR 82 signed into law, public employees who paid into both social security and another pension system (including CalSTRS and CalPERS) will receive full benefits.

from the text of SB 98:
"This bill would require the Legislative Analyst’s Office to submit a report to the Legislature, on or before January 1, 2026, on the effects of changing the pupil count methodology of the local control funding formula from average daily attendance to pupil enrollment."
