AEA members ratified language for all 5 articles. The school board will also vote. If the school board also votes yes, the new language will be official.

salary increases in TA: 6%+1%=7.06%

ALCOSTA WHO Awards (We Honor Ours!)

AEA's WHO Award goes to... Matthew Giles!

During the school day, Matthew Giles is a psychologist who offers courage, hope and joy to students, families and education workers. After school (and before) he is AEA’s vice-president and DJ. Matthew’s work diversifies and integrates our expertise and perspective. And his music makes everything more fun!

Matthew Giles for dedication to increasing understanding among members and protecting the working conditions of school psychologists

Kelsey Ahern for diligent supportive representation of our CDC and SLP members

AEA for Measure E

On Saturday, January 28th, AEA members walked with Building Trades Workers, who donated $10k to the Measure E campaign. We were their teachers, we are their kids' teachers... and we thank them!
